Prints on pieces of Carrara marble
In the aftermath of the housing recession, Stéphanie Roland dismantled an abandoned house and removed several slabs of marble. Strange, lacunar images appeared on these fragments and joined the artist’s long-standing bank of speculative images about all kinds of representations of the future. Here, the manually transferred images were altered both digitally using financial prediction algorithms and physically by the hand of the artist.
