Thermochromic prints on card, postcard display, heated screen

Initially, these postcards look black and opaque. But when touched or placed near a source of heat, an image emerges.Initially, these postcards look black and opaque. But when touched or placed near a source of heat, an image emerges. These are satellite views of islands that will disappear in the coming centuries because of rising sea levels, as predicted by scientists. In the absence of heat, these postcards will gradually return to their original state. The back of the card indicates the names of the islands, their geographical coordinates, and the century during which they are expected to disappear. The postmark suggests that they were sent from a distant future.
